April 2005
Los Angeles, Ca
Exciting news has come from LA this month. After six successful
courses at Los Angeles High School, the administration has
decided to expand the YES! program at the school. This month
marks two big developments in this expansion.
On April 4th the YES! program will now be available as an
alternative to legal consequences for truency students. Now
instead of facing fines or even imprisonment, the students
will have the chance to take the YES! program!
Also starting the same day, teachers will be able to share
the benefits their students have been getting by taking the
Teacher Empowerment Seminar, a specially designed program
for the teachers.
Things are moving fast, and we are seeing a dramatic effect
on the lives of so many at this school. This great program
is helping students, teachers, and administrators both at
school and at home. We will keep you updated as more events
occur.
